catb 221: Christmas 2016

Hard to believe another year has gone by so quickly. 2016 was a mixed bag, to say the least. Politics aside, it was a difficult year for me personally and for the comic. Casey only had 20 updates this year. That's the lowest total since our first year in 2011. This was partly due to the work involved with putting Casey Volume 2 together. The fewer the updates, the more frustrated I became. The more frustrated I became, the harder it became to create anything worth posting. Pretty much a vicious cycle. On the plus side, my health is good, my head is in a good place again, and updates have resumed (admittedly, not as often as I would prefer). I've actually been coming up with new comic ideas which I may pursue next year, once I get Casey back on track. A little side project might be just the thing to keep the creative juices flowing when Casey doesn't cooperate. On a final note, If I haven't said it enough, thank you to all of you for reading this comic and staying with me through the ups and downs of the past year. Your support means the world to me. Here's hoping you and yours have a happy and healthy holiday season. Bid 2016 a well deserved farewell and look forward to 2017 and all the promises a New Year brings. That's my plan. Happy Holidays!
