catb 115: Pointing Fingers

This week's comic was almost finished when I noticed that I had forgotten to add the graphic to Troy's shirt in panels 7 & 8. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I spotted the mistake during the Illustrator phase. I use Illustrator to add the text and balloons. This meant I had to reopen the Photoshop artwork file and add the graphic to the finished art, then reload the art in Illustrator and reset the dialog. Fortunately the graphic is pretty simple and didn't require much editing. The fix didn't take very long, but I'm sure glad I caught it!

  1. Someone’s deluding himself. But who?

  2. Shit just about got mad real. Maaaaad Real.

  3. Been re-reading the Tom comics. Is he based on anyone—you’re so vain you probably think this Tom is about you.

    1. Tom is not based on any one person, no. He was originally conceived as as Casey’s foil, turning up at the wrong times and getting in the way of Casey moving on with his life. I decided not to go that route tho, instead having the memory of what Casey and Tom had stand in Casey’s way. Folks certainly responded to the character over these past few months. He’s a difficult character to write. I’m not sure when we’ll see Tom (or Matty!) again, although I have been kicking some ideas around so you’re sure to see him again, sometime.

  4. I want to know their back story. What really happened?
