The introduction of Tom into the Caseyverse is something I'd planned even before the first page was drawn. Back in the early development days Tom was going to be a regular cast member, making Casey's life miserable at every turn as the 'needy-ex'. I scrapped that idea pretty quick and Tom languished in the ether until the flashback strips from a few months ago (CATB 82 thru 85). I figured if I was going to make life difficult for Casey, this was the perfect time to bring him back.

      You may have something there! I really need to write some stories where Casey comes out on top. So to speak.

    A thought occurs… Casey doesn’t know his own attractiveness. Everywhere he goes, he find men interested in him. Joey, Russ, Wally. (Tom, in the flashback). I wonder who at this reception will be smitten and complicate Casey’s lust life even more.
