catb 91: Evasive Maneuvers

I've been drawing since I was young. I produced my first comic, Orb, years ago but stopped drawing soon afterwards in part because of the trouble I had writing. Writing continues to be the most difficult part of producing the Casey comics too, with some comics coming together really quickly and others taking much longer. This week's comic went through a series of rewrites even after the artwork was finished. The Casey/Joey relationship was not something I had planned when I stated Casey, but it has quickly become the cornerstone of the comic. It's a hard thing for me to write as I often change my mind as to where I want it to go. I really appreciate everyone who's stuck with us through all the twists and turns. Will there be more? Probably.

  1. Like many writers, you’ll find that the characters will tell you where the story has to go.

  2. There’s no ‘I’ in team, either.

  3. I really like Joey. Casey got what he deserves.

  4. Have to take Joey’s side on this one. Casey waited too long and Joey won’t hold his life waiting for Casey so he moved on.

  5. I’m not gonna judge Casey too harsly. He was in a committed relationship and his whole world was tossed upside down. It may seem like years to us, but to him it’s only been about (a guess?) six months. Ah, comic book timeā€¦

    1. wow. I couldn’t have put that better myself. btw: It’s been about a year.
