October in New York

Taking a break from our current chapter for something a bit different. It's been a crazy Fall sports season here in New York. The Yankees made a surprising run through the post Season, losing in Game 7 of the ALCS to the Houston Astros. The Giants were one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, but stumbled out of the gate. The Rangers, another team with championship aspirations, have completely collapsed 3 weeks into the season. The Knicks are a huge question mark, having traded away their best player. With all this losing going on, you'd think the city would going crazy over their two soccer teams reaching the playoffs. You'd be wrong. Nary a peep. Once the Girardi firing hit last Thursday, there's no air for any other story. if they won a few rounds, that could change pretty quickly though. Fingers crossed.

  1. At least you’ve got an array of teams and sports. Granted, it’s not exactly and “up” hear for any of them. Portland’s got the Blazers. Sorry, but Timbers aren’t on my radar. Hope to have an MLB or NHL here soon. NFL will never make it here. By glad you’ve got everything, sometimes two fold.
