My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the Orlando shooting and their families. I have no words to describe how sad and angry I feel about this tragedy.
We musicians, like everyone else, are numb with sorrow at this murder, and with rage at the senselessness of the crime. But this sorrow and rage will not inflame us to seek retribution; rather they will inflame our art. Our music will never again be quite the same. At first ideas all fired up to do a comic about guns and mass shootings. After a day or two I was just too mentally and emotionally exhausted, so I went in a different direction. Rain. You’ll see.
Casey at the Bat is a slice of life romantic comedy that follows the life of Casey Wilkes, a young gay man, building a new life for himself after the end of his first serious relationship. With the help of his friends and the local gay softball league, Casey valiantly stumbles his way through life, love, and sports!
