catb 274: Sound the Alarm

Hi folks. I know I said I wasn't planning on making any comics involving Covid-19, but as the weeks have gone by and the numbers continue to rise, I felt I had to do something. Here in NYC we've been under lockdown for about 6 weeks now. It's taken some getting used to. My husband and I are both working from home - in a one-bedroom apartment. I'm surprised as anyone that we haven't killed each other yet. We got out for walks on the weekends (masked, naturally), and I get a run in during the week when I can. We're very fortunate. Life goes on. True story: When I wrote this comic a little over a week ago, there were 170,000 deaths worldwide, with 42,000 in the U.S.. Next week, its back to shenanigans.

  1. Stay well and thank you for this comic! <3 I'm groovy with (as with many webcomics) no Covid-19 in the Caseyverse (LOL great term for it), but this is a great 4th-wall-breaking thing to have anyway. 🙂

(I know how Spence feels, though.)

    1. Thanks Kendall. I’ll admit I was a bit nervous when posting this comic that it might be taken the wrong way. I’m glad you appreciated it.

  2. I enjoyed the comical brake! Poor Spence! I feel for him! His message still holds true! Glad to read you guys are hanging in there! Stay well!

  3. Bob, great way to present this! Stay safe and sane. My husband and I are exiled in South Jersey (haven’t seen our place in Brooklyn in over 2 months), and though we have a (too) big suburban house for the two of us, my husband and I currently share the office. Were it not for our lovable fur bomb (a.k.a. a Corgi), I think we’d have killed each other by now even with space. LOL
